Larkpaw hissed at the she-cat who had just spoken to her.

"You must learn to be more careful," Eaglepaw mewed halfheartedly, rolling his eyes. "Larkpaw never liked... anyone really." He rolled his paw in the dun-colored sand, making strange slashes.

Cloverpaw relaxed a little. "Sister, huh?" She curled her tail around her paws. "I'm Cloverpaw. Or did you know that already?" What a stupid question to ask! Cloverpaw thought to herself.

Eaglepaw looked from Cloverpaw to Larkpaw. He has assumed that Larkpaw would of already known Cloverpaw's name, but he kep himself quiet.

"Then I guess it's 'nice' to meet you, Cloverpaw," Larkpaw mewed.

Cloverpaw half smiled. She was still suspicios of Larkpaw. "Yeah...." she looked down at her paws. Why did they both have to be so beautiful? Sleek, shiny fur. Sparkling eyes. Amazing hunting skills. And then there was her. Dull pelt. Olive green eyes. Skills that usually ended up with her hurting herself. She felt like a nobody. She really hoped Eaglepaw wasn't paying attention. He usually guessed what she was thinking.

Lucky for Cloverpaw, Eaglepaw wasn't paying attention. Instead he had already wondered off. He was ready to stop the chatter and start the exploring. "Well, it's really great that we've all been introduced," he mewed looking back, "But I think it's time we make some progress to get outa here."

Suddenly Eaglepaw stopped. In front of him was a deep gorge. Not only was it deep, but it was very long, and very skinny. Building a bridge wouldn't of been that hard. "Can't go under it, can't go around it," he mewed.

Clover paw looked around and saw a small tree nearby. It was thick enough to hold them, and small enough to go over the gorge. "How bout that one?"

"Great... now we'll just have to push it so it goes over," he mewed. Since the tree was near the edge, Eaglepaw began pushing on it, hoping to get it to fall over and make a bridge.
